Italy's top social apps on the Android platform in Q3 2022 demonstrated diverse performance trends across TikTok, Bigo Live - Live Streaming App, Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat, Facebook, and Joi - Live Video Chat. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok saw a steady trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $177K in early July and maintaining figures above $130K throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 42K in late August, while weekly active users grew from 10.5M at the start of the quarter to nearly 10.9M by the end.

For Bigo Live - Live Streaming App, weekly revenue showed an upward trend, reaching approximately $23K in early August. Downloads were relatively stable, with a notable peak of 9.2K in the week of August 22. Active users increased from 60.8K to 61.8K over the quarter.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat experienced a peak in weekly revenue of around $16.9K in early August. Weekly downloads were consistent, with a high of nearly 2K in late August. Active users saw a slight increase, starting at 190K and reaching over 198K by the end of September.

Facebook maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at $20K in early August. Downloads varied, reaching a high of 45K in late August. Active users remained robust, around 15.9M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Joi - Live Video Chat saw a decline in revenue, dropping from $10.8K in late June to approximately $6.6K by the end of September. Downloads also decreased significantly, from over 1K in early July to just 236 by the end of the quarter. Active users showed fluctuations, peaking at 8K in late August but dropping to 6K by the end of September.
